With increasing focus on disruptive trends like clean and vegan beauty, the health and beauty industry is currently undergoing a major transformation. For some key consumer groups, health and beauty products they buy must have “clean ingredients” supported by “transparent labels”. At its core, consumers want to use a product that doesnt risk their own health. They want the ingredients list of their product to contain only safe, clean ingredients with all the information presented in a transparent manner. 

In addition, many consumers are primarily driven to buy based on personal values which could range from supporting only fair trade, using ingredients not sourced from the Amazon rain forests or only using products that confirm that no animal was harmed during its life cycle. And so many more.  

And the only way to ensure this information is captured and shared with consumers is by the use of a comprehensive traceability system which not only tracks upstream data from the farms and early processors but is able to take this information all the way to the end consumer.
